Cristiano Ronaldo Wins La Liga Top Scorer Award for 2013-14 Season
Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned the top scorer in La Liga Primera División for the 2013-2014 season.
The Real Madrid star netted 31 goals in the recently concluded campaign, edging out Lionel Messi of Barcelona, who finished with 28 goals.
Ronaldo's goalscoring prowess was instrumental in Real Madrid's success this season, as they won the Copa del Rey and finished second in La Liga behind Atletico Madrid.
This is the third time Ronaldo has won the La Liga top scorer award, having previously won it in the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons.
In addition to his goalscoring exploits, Ronaldo also provided 9 assists in La Liga this season, making him one of the most creative players in the league.
The Portuguese forward will be hoping to continue his impressive form next season as Real Madrid look to reclaim the La Liga title from Atletico Madrid.
